Signs that you need to detox

10 Signs You Need A Detox

If you experience a headache here or an upset stomach there, well, welcome to the human race. It happens to even the healthiest from time to time. But if these and/or other problems are occurring often, it may well be that you are in need of a cleanse. If you suffer from one or more of the following 10 issues, you should consider a detox.

  1. Chronic Constipation

Chronic constipation could indicate that your digestive system is not functioning properly. Despite your efforts to increase your fiber intake and adjust your diet, if you find hard it to move your bowels your body is telling you that it is time for a colon cleanse. Over time, waste accumulates in your gastrointestinal tract.

Detoxifying your gut not only cleanses accumulated fecal matter but also clears your bowel helping to improve your digestive processes as well. Along with your colon cleanse, be sure to make sure you’re getting lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet and cut out the fried and highly processed food and refined sugars.

Bottom line: Constipation is a potential sign of needing a colon cleanse.

  1. Persistent fatigue/lack of energy

If you’re among the throngs who stock their kitchen and/or office pantry with energy drinks and caffeinated products it may actually be a sign that you need to detox. Trying to remedy your lack of energy with canned stimulants may make you feel like you’re on top of things but, in reality, you can end up in a downward spiral. Energy drinks and the like cause spikes and crashes in energy levels and the latter are even harder to climb out of than before you downed the energy drink, making you feel like you need another one even more.

If you find you spend the day feeling energy deprived, your body probably needs a detox, a colon cleanse combined with detox plan that will help your body eliminate accumulated waste, release stored up toxins, and facilitate your metabolism. The right detox program flushes out waste and toxins that slow down your metabolism processes. You end up feeling more energized and ready to shake a leg every day.

Bottom line: Constant energy ebbs are a sign of a struggling body that may need a detox.

  1. Poor Stress Management/ Depression

Your gut plays an important role in how your mind functions. When faced with stressful situations our bodies respond in ways that try to eliminate the problem, often referred to in general as the fight or flight response. Emotional eating is one such response. Eating the wrong foods can put you in a depressed state as toxins take up residence in your body preventing the healthy nutrients from reaching the brain. That is where your detox program should come in.

While the detox plan may not necessarily cure chronic or clinical depression (and if you think you are suffering from the latter, you should consult your doctor immediately) eliminating factors that worsen depression or cause anxiety is vital. Cleansing helps your body to break down toxins and deal better with stress. That keeps you on the positive side of life.

Bottom line: Toxins can accelerate poor stress management and exacerbate depression.

  1. Mental haze/daze

If you find yourself in a mental stupor too often, your body may be in need of a detox. Don’t give in to the temptation to mask it with an energy drink, even those that promise to help you stay focused. Instead, consider that it is time to cleanse your system to get rid of the accumulated toxins. Depending on your lifestyle, it is normal for the body to store toxins such as heavy metals. A detox get rids of these toxins that make it hard for your cells to fire up. Detoxifying can help restore your clarity, concentration and focus.

Bottom line: Toxin buildup may result in difficulty focusing.

  1. Weight Loss Problems

If your weight loss strategies have included with going hungry, eating weird foods, colonics and crash diets; or even if you’ve just sincerely given health eating a real chance, and you still haven’t lost that extra weight it could be that your body has accumulated toxins and your dieting is something like rolling a big stone uphill. You may need a detox program to eliminate toxins.

A detox program is like pressing “reset” for your body so that it is once again in a where it can actually absorb and make use of those healthy nutrients you’ve started feeding it. It can be an excellent jumpstart for your health, helping you lose weight the right way.

Bottom line: Toxins make weight loss like swimming upstream and a detox literally helps you to go with the flow.

  1. Sleep Problems

Consistent insomnia may be your body’s way of telling you that you need to consider a cleansing program. When toxins accumulate, they can inhibit the production of melatonin, a hormone that helps signal your body it’s time to sleep. As a result, you can find yourself counting sheep or watching way too many late night infomercials. A detox may help restore your natural sleep cycle by cleaning out accumulated toxins so that your body can produce enough melatonin. You will find yourself back to a normal sleeping cycle. Each morning will be rise and shine.

Bottom line: Toxins can result in reduced sleep quality which, in turn, can mean your body is not functioning efficiently and culminating in the accumulation of more toxins.

  1. Unexplained headaches

A headache is another way your body warns you something is out of whack. If they happen a lot, you need to detox.

A detox helps move out impurities in your system7 which could be the cause of your headaches. While the problem may be aggravated during the cleansing period, you should find notable relief from the frequency of headaches afterward.

Bottom line: Cleansing cleans away the toxins giving you headaches.

  1. Sexual Dysfunction

If you have found yourself low on sexual desire, it may not be a sign of aging, rather it may indicate you need a detox. A detox plan can work on your sexual organs (including the brain) as it does on other organs, helping them to do their jobs in an optimal manner. Those how have tried a detox program to improve their libido, sexual performance and vitality often note an enhancement in each of these.

A detox, by cutting down the toxins, helps reinstate the supply of vitamins and minerals to your sexual organs. Toxins can make you feel like sex is the last thing you need.

Bottom line: Waning sexual drive can have several causes, including a build-up of toxins.

  1. Unexplained Morning Aches/Stiffness

If there’s no obvious reason that you should wake up feeling like you spent the night hacking out stone in a quarry; if you are sore and stiff in the morning and can’t think of why, you should consider detoxifying.

Toxins have a tendency to accumulate which can lead to inflammation and premature stiffness and soreness. A detox helps cut the inflammation and the pain that results.

Bottom line: Toxins can help relieve that mysterious stiffness and pain that you wake up with too often.

  1. The Skinny on Skin Problems

When your body is full of toxins that the body cannot eliminate, these can affect your skin (which is the largest organ in the body). Accumulated toxins can result in rashes, allergic reactions, sneezing, coughing and allergic reactions. If you have had skin issues that have not responded to topical treatments, it may be because the problem isn’t at the surface but inside the body. Consider a detox program that is specifically designed to improve skin conditions.

A detox program that deals with the root of the problem gets rid of accumulated body toxins. During such a cleansing program you may notice rashes and other skin-related issues. Don’t abandon the detox ship, however, because the seeming worsening of the symptoms is actually a sign of waste being released. By the time you finish detoxifying your system, the rashes should have disappeared.

Bottom line: The skin is yet another organ that can be negatively affected by toxins and positively affected by a detox.

We hope that the above signs you may need a detox will prompt you to investigate a detox program that is designed to address your symptoms and will help you live healthier and with less discomfort.
