ECG Naturals Nu Woman Review

Nu Woman by ECG Naturals is an all-natural herbal remedy designed to relieve the symptoms of menopause and PMS. It claims the ingredients have been proven to treat these discomforts and alleviate symptoms without any side effects. It aims to help reduce the occurrence of hot flashes, night sweats and changes in mood. It may help with water retention, breast sensitivity and depression.

The product page claims that many major “double blind” studies have been conducted on its ingredients but it does not cite any of the studies done. According to other sources very little scientific information is known about the ingredients.

Ingredients

Nu Woman contains the following three active ingredients:

  • Chaste Tree Berry – is often referred to being “the women’s herb” as it has been used to treat a variety of symptoms in relation to menopause and the reproductive system. It is used to help regularize menstrual cycles, relive PMS, PMDD and menopause symptoms. Some men also use it to help increase urine and decrease sexual desire.
  • Black Cohosh – is used primarily to treat the symptoms of menopause. Black cososh specifically targets headaches, hot flashes, changes in mood, sleep disturbances, palpitations of the heart, night sweats and vaginal dryness. Some studies have shown black cohosh to be effective for these symptoms.
  • Red Clover – is used to treat many conditions but there is not enough scientific evidence to deduce whether it really is effective for any of them. It does not lower cholesterol or treat hot flashes in women. Red clover does contain isoflavones which are converted by the body into phytoestrogens. These behave similarly to the human hormone estrogen.

It does not contain estrogen or progesterone.
