Hyland’s Migraine Headache Relief Review

A migraine headache can be one of the most debilitating conditions to experience. It can literally incapacitate you for hours, if not days, at a time. But for many people, lying in a dark room with your eyes closed is not an option. What is needed is a remedy that will relieve the pain and enable you to get on with your life.

This is our review of Hyland’s Migraine Headache Relief, a natural,  homeopathic treatment that is said to do just that. It has been formulated to relieve the symptoms of migraine pain quickly, without making you feel drowsy. However, as Hyland’s themselves point out, it is not a cure for migraine headaches – just a way to provide temporary relief from the most common migraine symptoms: pain, sensitivity to light and nausea.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients

  • Glonoinum 12X
  • Belladonna 6X
  • Gelsemium 6X
  • Nux Vomica 6X
  • Iris Versicolor 6X
  • Sanguinaria Canadensis 6X

All these ingredients are listed in the official Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States.

Inactive Ingredient:

Lactose N.F.

Glonoinum, which has a high potency of 12,  is said to relieve the symptoms of a throbbing headache and vertigo. All the other active ingredients have a lesser potency of 6. This includes Belladonna has been used for many years to relieve pounding pain as well as sensitivity to light and noise. Gelsemium is recommended for the relief of dull headaches and pressure headaches. Nux Vomica has been shown to relieve a frontal headache, particularly when these are also associated with vertigo. Iris Versicolor helps with headaches that make one feel sick and nauseous as well as result in blurred vision; while Sanguinaria Canadensis is said to relieve headaches that are located over the eyes.

Lactose N.F. is merely a product used to manufacture tablets. Although it is formulated from milk, the milk protein has been removed and it should, therefore, be safe for consumption by people with a lactose intolerance.

Dosage

For adults and children over 12 years of age, the recommended dosage is 1 or 2 tablets every four hours, or as needed. You simply allow the tablets to dissolve on your tongue. While you can take the tablets less frequently, you should never exceed the recommended dosage.

Price

One pack of 60 tables costs around $8, depending on the retailer you buy it from. We found Hyland’s Migraine Headache Relief tablets on sale for a wide range of prices, so do shop around.

Guarantee

Hyland’s does not appear to provide any kind of guarantee for its products. You should, therefore, check the returns policy of the retailer from which you purchase your supply.

Hyland’s Migraine Headache Relief Review – Conclusion

Hyland’s Migraine Headache Relief is a gentle and natural option for the relief of mild to moderate migraine headaches and their associated symptoms. It does not contain aspirin, caffeine or sedatives that are often a feature of other pain relief medications.

However, if your migraine pain is severe, this product may not work for you. You can increase the dosage to a maximum of 6 tablets per day (2 tablets every 4 hours), but no more than that.

It’s also important to bear in mind that this product is formulated only to provide temporary relief from your symptoms; it will not do anything to prevent future attacks.
