Today we are reviewing a product called Zenith Nutrition CoQ10 Plus. The manufacturer of this supplement claims that this product is an advanced form of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) because it also contains the ingredient vitamin E. The manufacturer claims that supplementing the body with CoQ10 daily helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels, which contributes to the overall heart health. This supplement is especially important for people taking a statin since statins deplete the level of CoQ10 in the body. Read on to see if Zenith Nutrition CoQ10 Plus can be beneficial to your heart health.
- Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) (Naturally fermented) 30mg
- Vitamin E 50mg
Vitamin E has not been proven to be beneficial to the heart and in fact might even be harmful to the heart.
Other ingredients: Dicalcium Phosphate and Vegetarian capsules.
The recommended dosage is one capsule to be taken daily or as directed by your healthcare professional. It is not indicated whether you take it with or without food. If you experience any of the following side effects then stop using the supplement; diarrhea, loss of appetite, vomiting or nausea, skin rashes and upset stomach. This supplement might potentially lower your blood pressure, so it is highly recommended that you consult with your doctor before starting this supplement especially if you are taking medicine for hypertension.
Zenith Nutrition CoQ10 Plus is available online from various retailers and from the manufacturer’s website. On the company’s website, the price is $29.21 for 240 capsules.
The manufacturer states clearly that returns are only accepted if there is something wrong with the product. If that is the case, you need to inform them within 24 hours of receiving the product. It’s not clear for how long the return policy is good for. The product should be unused and should be sent back with the original box to India!
Conclusion – Zenith Nutrition CoQ10 Plus
There a few things that we liked about Zenith Nutrition CoQ10 Plus. Considering that you can purchase 240 pills for only $29, the price is quite reasonable. We have some negative comments however. Regarding the inclusion of Vitamin E as a secondary ingredient in the supplement we we are concerned that not only might this not be of any benefit to heart health, it may in act have adverse effects. In terms of a guarantee, the manufacturer offers only a very weak rebate offer. The manufacturer states clearly that returns are only accepted if there is something wrong with the product, and you need to inform them within 24 hours of receiving the product. The product should be unused and should be sent back with the original box to India. It does not state the allowable amount of time after you first receive the product that you can still qualify for a rebate. Few consumers would buy this supplement if they knew they had to return it back to India, and secondly informing the company within 24 hours of receipt is not enough time to know if the product is effective in what it is supposed to do. In short this is a meaningless guarantee. Lastly, there were also very few reviews available for the supplement (42 reviews on Amazon). For these reasons, we firmly recommend against Zenith Nutrition CoQ10 Plus.
