Moringa is rapidly becoming one of the most popular and versatile supplements on the market. The leaves, which are packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin B, calcium, iron, minerals, amino acids and much more, are said to boost energy levels and fight fatigue, improve your mood and quell depression, and help combat insomnia.
In addition, Moringa leaves contain a range of anti-inflammatory compounds which makes it sought after by people suffering from joint pain. And it is said to promote weight loss, lower blood sugar (and so is a good option for diabetics), nourish the skin, improve brain function and detoxify the body.
A versatile supplement indeed! This is our review of Pura Vida Moringa capsules.
But with so many Moringa supplements on the market, what makes Pura Vida Moringa different?
According to the manufacturer, these Moringa capsules are manufactured from only hand-harvested leaves, plucked from plants grown in the volcanic foothills of Nicaragua. However, what difference this harvesting method, as opposed to mechanized harvesting, has on the potency of the leaves is not made clear. Nor is the fact that these leaves are grown in a particular soil type. We would have liked to see some independent research that compares Nicaraguan Moringa with Moringa grown elsewhere.
Nevertheless, unlike many other Moringa supplements currently available, Pura Vida does manufacture the capsules in an FDA registered facility using high-tech processing methods that the manufacturer claims enables it to preserve most of the nutrients found in the Moringa leaf. The product is also certified as USDA organic.
- Organic Moringa Leaf Powder – 500mg per capsule
- Vegetable cellulose (veggie capsule)
The 2 capsules twice daily, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
A container of 120 capsules costs $19.99 directly from the manufacturer. That’s enough for a one-month supply. However, if you buy more than one container at a time, you will save money on the total price. If you purchase 2 containers, you will save 10% – or about $4; buy 3 containers and you will save 13% (about $7.80), and 4 will save you 15% – so you will pay around $68 instead of just under $80.
Pura Vida offers a 100% money-back guarantee on all its products provided you return it within 30 days of purchase.
Pura Vida Moringa Review – Conclusion
There is much to recommend Pura Vida Moringa capsules, starting with the fact that the product is manufactured in an FDA approved facility and is certified USDA organic. It is also worth noticing that the capsules used are a vegetable- based, which makes this product suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
That said, the recommended dosage of active ingredient in this formulation is somewhat lower than in other products we examined – and it’s also more expensive, even taking the special offer of discounts for purchasing two or more containers.
No doubt, the manufacturer would attribute the high price to the fact that it is providing the “gold standard” in Moringa supplement – but apart from what’s contained in its marketing material, we were unable to find any independent documentation to back this up.
